On July 29, 2015, the unveiling ceremony of the Spherical Pump R & D Center, jointly established by Wuxi Research Institute of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Xi'an Zheng'an Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. (Xi'an Branch of Shenzhen Zhong'an Power Technology Co., Ltd.), was held in the R & D building of Wuxi Research Institute of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The guests attending the unveiling ceremony included Wang Luyi, Chairman of Xi'an Zheng'an Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., Zeng Peng, Vice Chairman, Zhao Jun, Executive Deputy General Manager, Li Zhengmin, Chief Engineer, and Guan Yue, Deputy General Manager of the Engine Branch of FAW Jiefang Automotive Co., Ltd. Ding Han, Academician and Dean of Wuxi Research Institute of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Li Bin, Vice Dean, Shi Tielin, Professor and Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Yin Zhouping, Professor and Vice Dean, Peng Fangyu, Professor, Ding Jinfeng, Doctor and Deputy Head of Huishan District, as well as the heads of various institutes and departments of Wuxi Research Institute of Huazhong University of Science and Technology participated in the unveiling ceremony.
The unveiling ceremony was presided over by Li Bin, the vice president of Wuxi Research Institute of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Wang Luyi, the chairman of Zhengan Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., stated in his speech that the spherical pump is a brand - new three - dimensional space mechanism proposed by him. It is characterized by its simple structure, which is convenient for miniaturization. Currently, the world's smallest refrigeration compressor with an outer diameter of only 15mm has been designed. This project has obtained patents in China, the United States, Europe, Japan, India, and Brazil. The spherical micro - compressor project won the first prize in the Embraco Global Innovation Competition in 2012 and received a bonus of $100,000.
